It's been a week since that devastating earthquake hit Haiti.

Many have flocked to the area, and a number of people in the government IT community are helping out, as well.

They're creating platforms that enable rescue workers to collaborate and organize the rescue efforts.

Teams met this past weekend in at least five cities around the country -- including here in D.C. -- to create tools to help rescue crews in the Caribbean.

This all grows out of a series of unconferences called Crisis Camps.

Andrew Turner is the CTO of Fortius One and Noel Dickover is an independent consultant who works with government agencies.

They are the co-founders of Crisis Camp and tells us more about what happened this past weekend.
