Nominee to be TSA administrator testifies before Senate

Transportation Security Administration employees received little assurance from the agency's nominee to be its administrator today before a Senate committee that they would be given collective bargaining rights.

Erroll Southers tells the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee that he would look into the issue and meet with employees -- but wouldn't go any further.

Southers comments come after Homeland Security Department secretary Janet Napolitano told House lawmakers in February that the department's general counsel was reviewing the issue.
