Microsoft Federal focuses on options in the cloud

Federal News Radio has been covering the announcement this week about the creation of the federal cloud storefront -- Apps.gov.

This has been seen as a big step for the federal government in terms of how it computing environment.

One of the big players, of course, is Microsoft -- the software company that makes the Windows operating system.

Convention wisdom has been that cloud computing will hurt Microsoft, but Teresa Carlson, the head of Microsoft Federal, says that the company is actually focused on providing customers with cloud options.
