Appropriators on Capitol Hill are already fighting about "who gets what" in the Pentagon's FY 2011 budget request. What happens to the contracting community depends on the results of some of those fights. And the Quadrennial Defense Review offers some insight into where the agency will go in the future. Paul Cofoni is President and CEO of CACI...he's read both documents and he told me today what he thinks the budget request and QDR mean for companies like his.
We also talked about trends in doing business with the government; the future of the fight against cyber threats; and deploying "soft power" as called for by Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
