The US Postal Service has announced that it will offer early retirement to 150,000 workers, cut thousands of management jobs and close six district offices. The news comes in the face of looming deficits: the postal service lost $2.8 billion dollars last year, and even more red ink is expected this year. Pat Donahoe, Deputy Post Master General and chief operating officer for the Postal Service, joins us with more on why these cuts are happening and what the future might hold for USPS.
