**History Rediscovered** Recently, the Naval History and Heritage Command in Washington, D.C., rediscovered two wooden boxes containing more than 300 glass-plate photos from the Spanish-American War era.

Many of the photos show Navy vessels and their crews in various theaters of the war, from the Philippine Islands to Cuba.

Here, the USS Raleigh sees action in 1898 during the Spanish-American War.
