Mr. Hari Bezwada is the Chief Information Officer, Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) from 8 Nov 2010. In this position, Mr. Bezwada is responsible for and ensures cyber security awareness and compliance, advance technology assessments and standardization, strategic planning and architecture consistency among more than 60 Department of Defense and Army acquisition programs across the Business, War fighting and Enterprise Information Environment Mission Areas that execute over $4 billion per year. These systems support Army and DoD-wide communications, logistics, medical, finance, personnel, biometrics, training and procurement operations.

Mr. Hari Bezwada also served as the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) Portfolio Integration Officer (PIO), currently named as Assistant Program Executive Officer (APEO), for Communications, Computing Infrastructure and Enterprise Services at Fort Belvoir, VA from Nov 2010 to Jul 2011. In this position, Mr. Bezwada managed over 800 military, civilian, and contractor staff around the world that executed over $2 billion per year. Prior to Nov 2010, he served as the Director for Information Technology Project Office-Pentagon Renovation. As Director, he was responsible for $2 billion renovation and modernization of the Pentagon’s information technology systems and infrastructure (29 IT disciplines) as part of the overall Pentagon Renovation effort.

Prior to 2000, Mr. Bezwada had extensive leadership experience working with US, UK, French, and NATO joint tri-service program office that developed nuclear, anti-jam, benign survivable communication systems.

Mr. Bezwada degrees include a Masters of Public Administration, a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Masters of Strategic Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He holds Level III Acquisition Certifications in Program Management, Systems Engineering, Computers and Communications, and Production and Manufacturing. Mr. Bezwada is a graduate of the Chief Information Officer Institute’s Federal CIO Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Bezwada’s awards include Individual of the Year in Federal Government, DoD Distinguished Civilian Award, Army Distinguished Civilian Award, Computer World Premier 100 winner, two time Fed 100 winner, and winner of numerous other DoD, Army, and Industry awards.
