Knight report: Citizenship means creating content

A knight report advocates for digital and media literacy education in the classroom.

The Knight Foundation and Aspen Institute recommend ways to improve digital literacy in their new report, according to Tech President.

The recommendations include changes to K-12 educational programs. This was a similar message to a report released last year by Knight.

Temple University communications professor and Media Education Lab founder Renee Hobbs says the lack of digital literacy translates into a lack of democratic participation.
