Pac Man celebrates 30th birthday

Learn how the game changed the world.

Happy Birthday Pac Man! The video game is celebrating its 30th anniversary today. On May 22, 1980, a Japanese company called Namco Bandai released a game in Japan called Puck-Man. CNet news writes about why the name was changed in the U.S. (in case you can’t figure that one out for yourself) and discusses the overall importance of the game (yes, it did actually change the world a bit). Google is also celebrating today. Just go to their homepage. You’ll see what I mean (prepare to be non-productive for the rest of the day).
