March 5, 2010 -- Security clearance reform continues to be a hot topic on Capitol Hill. According to
Congressional testimony by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), nearly 2.4 million people currently hold security clearances.
But, as many current and aspiring federal employees know, one of the most discussed issues in the hiring process is the security clearance.
Bill Mixon, President & CEO of
USIS - the federal government's largest supplier of background investigations - will join host
Bill Bransford to talk about USIS and their role in the security clearance process.
During the second half of the show, Darryl Perkinson, National President, and Jessica Klement, Government Affairs Director, of the
Federal Managers Association will discuss their upcoming
national convention and training day and other current issues affecting federal managers, such as the NSPS conversion and the Labor-Management Council.
