New Tools for Drug Screening

As health reform is being discussed on Capitol Hill and at the White House, one government agency is making a difference in the field with the development of a new health-screening tool. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, part of the National Institutes of Health, has created NIDAMED. The tool helps doctors screen their patients for drug use and abuse. Dr. Nora Volkow is the Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse. She joins us to talk about the new tool and the broader work being done by her agency.
