The drug wars in Mexico continue, but now there’s hope.

About 6,300 people were murdered in the drug wars there last year and Mexico’s economy is expected to shrink by at least three percent this year.

Still, talks with the Secretary of State, the Homeland Security Secretary, and the Attorney General have proven fruitful — and Mexico is preparing for a visit from President Obama in coming weeks.
