The Defense Department is supposed to be ready for a partial review of its financial statements by next year. Most outside observers are skeptical that the Pentagon will make it. DoD is still optimistic though. Mark Easton, the department’s deputy chief financial officer, spoke with Jared Serbu about the agency’s preparation for the audit as part of our special report, Rise of the Money People.
