DoD to pilot automated network intrusion detection

The Department of Defense is working with private developers to create a system that automatically detects and prevents network intrusions. Pentagon officials tell Congress Defense will conduct a 90-day pilot of the system with around 30 defense companies. Infosecurity.com reports, the program would be similar to the Einstein 3 system being developed by Homeland Security for the federal government.
