Joint Strike Fighter engine faces Senate cut

All funding for an alternative F-35 engine would be killed under the measure drawn up Friday by the Senate Appropriations Committee.

General Electric, one of the makers of the engine, tells Reuters the Senate measure was part of the process, but the issue is not completely resolved.
