Is the park across the street from your home or office in the District federal land or District property?

It’s an age-old question in the D.C. area. Exactly who is responsible for all the different park lands and green space? Some parks are District parks, while others fall under the purview of the National Park Service. Bill Line is a spokesperson for the Park Service. He says, if you find it confusing, you’re not alone. And, he says, there’s some good reasons why it’s so confusing.
