Tighter budgets could force many agencies to change the way they prepare for emergencies in a post-9/11 world.

Booz Allen Hamilton principal Marko Bourne, who previously served as a policy and program analysis director at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Bourne played a big role in integrating FEMA into the Homeland Security Department after the Sept.11th attacks.

He joined the Federal Drive to discuss the creation of DHS and significant changes in the government’s organization since then.

Bourne also discussed how agencies that are focused on emergency preparedness can be prepared, themselves, for tightening budgets.
