The federal government is open and on time this morning.

Or, as the Office of Personnel Management puts it on their website, “Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN. Employees are expected to report to their worksite or begin telework on time.”

Thursday, the Dorobek Insider reported receiving an e-mail from an OPM spokesman saying the government would be open today “unless the region receives more inclement weather.”

While more snow is on the way for the Washington-Baltimore region, the latest forecast for the area as reported on wtop.com is for accumulation around an inch.

John Berry, director of the Office of Personnel Management, told Federal News Radio his decision on closings or delays is based on safety and on maintaining federal operations.
