Tom Shoop, the editor-in-chief of Government Executive Magazine, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss how efforts to rebrand federal agencies could put them in better graces with the the public.

The IRS already uses a PR firm to help publicize IRS programs, Shoop noted. But there are also other, perhaps more drastic, steps the agency could take.

In his GovExec column, Shoop pointed to a recent Wall Street Journal report that pointed the example of L.A. Lakers basketball player Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest), who changed his name to rehabilitate his reputation.
