New app for virtual scavenger hunts at Smithsonian
Roam the halls of the Smithsonian, digitally.
You remember going on scavenger hunts when you were a kid.
But now there is a whole new way to experience the Smithsonian museums.
It is interactive game on your iPhone or Android phone.
The trek uses an application by a company called “SCVNGR.”
The women behind the hunt are Kellian Adams, who heads up Museum Education at SCVNGR, and Beth Py-Lieberman, the editor of the Go Smithsonian visitors guide.
