Analysis: Unionized TSA workers must assure public that safety to stay the same

Homeland Security Today\'s David Silverberg explains the work cut out for TSA before the union elections.

Federal Transportation Security workers who want to unionize might be smart to assure the flying public that they’ll be just as safe if baggage screeners do decide to join a union.

As Federal News Radio reported on Friday, Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole will allow Security Officers to hold a union election beginning in March.

David Silverberg, editor of Homeland Security Today, told DorobekINSIDER producer Scott Carr that those in favor of the move have their work cut out for them. Arguments are already coming fast and furious from opponents to it.
