The Homeland Security Department and the National Institute of Standards and Technology are teaming up to create a “botnet playbook.”

The book will be an industry “code of conduct” to address the detection, notification and mitigation of botnets. And they’re seeking public input.

DHS and NIST issued an RFI asking for ideas on approaches to creating the plan.
