TSP scores high, flexible spending low in latest federal employee benefits survey

While federal employees gave high marks on usefulness and importance to the Thrift Savings Plan, only a small percentage said they had flexible spending accounts because they saw little value in the program. The results are part of a survey that OPM has been doing since 2004 to gauge worker opinions on the health and wellness benefits it offers.

Agencies struggle to stay ahead of the curve in new era of technology

A big change is coming to the federal technology community. For the first time ever, federal agencies are expected to spend less on information technology in 2014 than the year before. OPM searches for candid answers from departing SES members

The Office of Personnel Management wants more information on why members of the Senior Executive Service are leaving their jobs. It's hoping a new exit survey being distributed to departing SES employees will help agencies improve their retention, recruitment and succession planning efforts. OPM said it wants employees to be as candid as possible with their answers to the anonymous survey.
