Navy begins to embrace ICITE capabilities, Haith says

Ted Okada, Federal Emergency Management Agency

The White House has been telling agencies to used shared services for the better part of two, two-term administrations. The idea is to save cost and effort by pooling things agencies all do in common. But in practice it's not so easy. Ted Okada is the chief technology officer of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. He's taking a slightly different view of shared service. He contends sharing should be at least as much about data as about operations. Okada joined Tom Temin on the Federal Drive with details.

OMB to require agencies to measure risk at the enterprise level

The Office of Management and Budget to release a memo or guidance in the second quarter of 2015 to set governmentwide expectations for how agencies will manage risk. Controller David Mader said lessons from implementing Circulars A-123 and A-11 could be expanded into agency mission areas.

Treasury Acquisition Institute adjusts delivery model to reach more students
