OMB's Werfel lays out new plan to follow agency money
Federal controller Danny Werfel to issue new guidance on measuring and fixing improper payments this week. OMB also is planning two pilot programs to improve how agencies receive and process vendor invoices, and to enhance intragovernmental transactions. Werfel also says the approach to financial management shared services is changing.

Exclusive: OMB to propose major changes to financial management systems
Draft memo obtained by Federal News Radio calls for stopping new and ongoing modernization and development programs until OMB can review them. OMB also would dole out funding on a quarterly basis for ongoing projects to ensure they are meeting milestones.
