Federal program offers half-priced homes

The Good Neighbor Next Door program from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department offers 50 percent discounts on the list prices of homes. However, to qualify buyers must be a full-time teacher, law enforcement officer or firefighter, and agree to live in the house for three years.
