USPS ready to replace aging delivery fleet

The Postal Service told a House panel Thursday that it's become too expensive to maintain its aging delivery fleet and it needs to purchase up to 180,000 new vehicles. USPS spends $4,200 annually on maintenance per vehicle to keep the fleet running.

Postal Service IG report examines vehicle fleet

The Postal Service has approximately 189,000 delivery vehicles. As they get older, is it cheaper to replace or repair them? We get findings of a new study from Mark Duda, Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits at the Postal Service.
