Energy ups number of employees at risk after cyber attack to 53,000

The Department of Energy first reported in August 14,000 current and former employees had their Personally Identifiable Information stolen. The department now says that number is nearly four times what it had originally thought.

Cyber attack against TSP contractor exposes thousands of accounts

A sophisticated cyber attack against the Thrift Savings Plan contractor responsible for maintaining the agency's data centers compromised the information of 123,000 TSP participants. However, there is no indication the data has been misused, according to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board. There is also no indication that the TSP's network or its website were affected.

House intel chairman suggests U.S., Israel not behind cyber attacks on Iran

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers said he'd be "very careful" about assigning blame for the attacks on Iran's nuclear program. Half of what's been reported in the media on the matter is untrue, he said.
