More vendors gaining relief from protests

GAO's latest report finds contractors have a 1-in-2 chance to gain some type of relief from agencies when they protest a solicitation. Agencies turning more to alternative dispute resolution to help solve complaints. Bid protests expected to increase in 2010.

Lawmakers calling for more procurement oversight at White House Summit

OMB asks agencies to develop plans to grow acquisition workforce

OFPP issues two contracting memos today. One gives agencies help to evaluate how competitive their contracting process is. The second one asks agencies to develop a workforce plan to increase the number of acquisition workers by 5 percent by 2014.
