Cherry blossoms to peak earlier than expected

The National Park Service says the cherry trees surrounding the Tidal Basin will peak earlier this year than initially expected.

Cherry Blossoms to peak even earlier

The chief horticulturist for the U.S. Park Service revised his prediction. He now says 70 percent of the blossoms will be open Wednesday.
