Metro station reopens after accident

Metro says the man was struck by an inbound train around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. A preliminary police report indicates the man intentionally put himself in front of the train, Metro says.

Soon you'll see above-ground Dulles rail work

"When people start seeing big concrete piers being constructed in the median of Route 7 or what they consider the middle of Route 7, that's going to be a little bit disruptive, and they're going to be gawking," says Marcia McAllister, a spokeswoman for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project.

Public forum to be held Mon. on I-66 gridlock

State and county officials will be listening closely Monday night to get some new ideas from people who drive I-66 every day. The floor will be open to the public at 7 p.m. at the Fairfax Government Center.
