Kyrgyzstan and the U.S. have a new deal to allow the U.S. to continue using a Kyrgyz air base to ship military supplies to Afghanistan. The Associated Press reports, the agreement, an abrupt about-face four months after Kyrgyzstan ordered American forces out by August, won unanimous parliamentary approval last Thursday. If the deal is finalized, the U.S. will pay $60 million dollars a year to use the base, more that three times the previous rent.
