Health IT jobs picking up steam

The health IT industry is booming and that means so are jobs in that arena. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of medical records technicians is expected to grow by 22 percent between 2012 and 2022.

Agencies getting tools to 'innovate with less'

The Shared Services Strategy is the latest way agencies can reduce spending on infrastructure technology and spend more on mission-critical IT. OMB pressing agencies to get IT projects on track

Federal CIO Vivek Kundra says there are $27 billion in IT projects that are troubled. The administration will issue a new strategy to expand the use of TechStat review sessions. Agencies also are feeling the heat to review all IT projects before they submit their 2012 budgets to OMB.
