Spammers spoof USPS messages

SophosLabs reports spammers are targeting users and tricking them into clicking on and infecting their computers with a Trojan horse. The messages, sent from what appears to be the U.S. Postal Service use a variety of subject lines such as, "Track your parcel" and "Your package is available for pickup."

Air Force reinstates contractors suspended last month

The Air Force has reinstated Advanced C4 Solutions, Superior Communications Solutions and Iron Bow Technologies after the government reviewed all the facts. The contractors, who were suspended on Oct. 24th, were working on a project at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

GOP proposal would freeze federal pay, cut workforce by 10 percent

Senate Republicans are proposing an extension of the federal pay freeze in order to pay for a continuation of a payroll tax cut favored by congressional Democrats and the White House. The proposal, which was assailed by some Democrats and federal employee unions, also includes a provision to cut 10 percent of the federal workforce or about 200,000 positions.
