A Google spokesman said he company plans to enhance it apps with functions already offered by Postini, an email security company owned by Google.
Google has sent out messages to some of its search engine users warning them they may be victims of a government-sponsored cyber attack.
Marius Milner wrote code that captured personal data from millions of people during Google's Street View project. Google employees drove vehicles up and down the nation's streets, making videos.
The agency announced it awarded Onix, the company which protested the 2010 contract, a $35 million deal to provide email-as-a-service to 92,000 employees. Under the terms of the deal, Onix must fully migrate Interior employees to the cloud by December.
The Defense Department says it's fast-tracking the construction of an infrastructure that will support future mobile devices in the military. A network that can securely support Apple and Android devices should be fully up and running by next year, while a secure app store will be online within a couple months.
