The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has just awarded one of the biggest multiple award contracts of any civilian agency. It selected 15 companies to participate in the five-year program that could run as high as $7 billion. Bloomberg Government Quantitative Analyst Duncan Amos is tracking developments closely. HHS readying new health care innovation office

Department of Health and Human Services officials are preparing for the opening of the new Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation in January. The office is supposed to help spread the use of innovative new payment and delivery systems to drive down the cost, and expand the availability of health care nationwide.
