Capital Bikeshare to expand to Montgomery Co.

Capital Bikeshare rolling right through winter

Washingtonians may have a reputation as weather wimps, but the Capital Bikeshare program will challenge that notion, rolling right through even the most frigid of winter days. The bike share will due expand this spring, with 36 more stations installed to go along with the 106 already in place in D.C. and Arlington.

D.C. rolls out largest bike share program in U.S.

The Captial BikeShare program got off to a rolling start in D.C. Monday. Under the program, which is the nation's largest, members pay a fee, then use bikes parked at bike stations throughout the region. A bike can be picked up at any station at any time of day and left at any destination.
