As part of our special report, Gov 3.0: It's Mobile, Federal News Radio polled 28 agencies about the status of their mobile and Bring-Your-Own-Device strategies. Of the 21 agencies that responded, most reported they either had a mobile strategy in place or were developing one.
David Bray has been the FCC's chief information officer for about two months and already has six priorities to improve how the commission meets its mission.

Cheryl Cook, the Agriculture Department's chief information officer, said she's focusing on governance to improve mobile computing and reduce duplication among IT programs.
Doug Nash, the Forest Service's CIO, said he sees great promise in using a PC-on-a-stick to let employees securely connect back to the network, save data from the field and do work from anywhere. Forest Service will release a mobile strategy and architecture in the coming weeks.
