It pays to know...

When it comes to Iraqi culture, who ya gonna call? In the case of the Army's 34th Infantry Division, they call on the "Human Terrain Team". Its actually a group of social scientists who provide guidance on how Iraqis look at the world. Division officials learned from the team that Iraqis who work on base were offended by having to go through a narrow gate surrounded by razor wire. Iraqis say such a gate is unsafe -- and disrespectful. I'm Max Cacas.

Now that's a workout!

You think your fitness workout is tough? How about lifting a pair of 45-pound springs from a HUMVEE? That's one of the things Army combat troops are doing to stay physically fit for combat. The workout is called "Tabata", after its Japanese creator. It incorporated timed, maximum intensity exercises in short bursts, followed by rest. One Army specialist says the Tabata workout has helped him lower his blood pressure - and lose 40 pounds! I'm Max Cacas.
