Survey: Could telework harm office dynamics?

Telework is growing in the federal government but what will that mean for office dynamics? Take our survey.

Only 3.2 percent of federal government employees currently telework according to the Telework Research Network, but that number is expected to increase in the years ahead after the passage of the 2010 Telework Enhancement Act. For example, the Department of Agriculture plans to have 40 percent of eligible employees teleworking by the end of 2012.

But, what will more and more telework do to group dynamics within the workplace? How will the work being conducted at a government agency or private company be affected by the decrease of in-person contact between team members?

We want to know what you think. Take our survey below. We’ll release the results Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.
