A new pilot program is aimed at improving the care of diabetes patients in Miami. The University of Miami is joining forces with Microsoft and Resolute Solutions Corporation to help diabetes patients better interact with their doctors through a feedback loop. Each interaction between a patient and doctor will be recorded and kept in a database that will be used to promote greater awareness and patient responsibility to manage the disease. Patients will use city-donated computers and bandwith to participate in the program.
