Thirty years ago, NASA first developed technology that’s used for search and rescue satellites. Since then, they’ve saved more than 27,000 lives. Today, NASA has developed new technology that can help search-and-rescue teams find people faster. George Theodorakos is the NASA Search and Rescue Mission chief staff engineer. He tells Kristi King of our sister station WTOP Radio how the old life-saving technology is about to get even better.
