Leadership changes in DoD IT, logistics, cyber

Eric Rosenbach is named as the new leader for cyber policy and Tony Montemarano takes on a new role at DISA.

The Pentagon has named a new leader for cyber issues.

Eric Rosenbach, previously a cybersecurity consultant to private industry, will serve as deputy assistant secretary of Defense for cyber policy. Rosenbach held earlier positions as executive director of the Belfer Center for International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and senior staff positions in the Senate, both for former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Rosenbach replaces Bob Butler, who left DoD earlier this year.

Also among DoD’s senior executive announcements this week are several moves among senior leadership in the Defense Logistics Agency. Mae Devincentis takes over as DLA’s vice director, leaving a job as the agency’s deputy director for information operations. Filling the information operations slot will be Edward Case, the former DLA information operations deputy director. And Robert Foster, formerly DLA’s program executive officer, will move into Case’s former job. Finally, Clyde Hobby takes over as deputy director for logistics operations at DLA. He formerly served as the agency’s executive director for strategic programs.

And at the Defense Information Systems Agency, Tony Montemarano, formerly the agency’s component acquisition executive, takes on a new role as director of strategic planning and information. He replaces Paige Atkins, who left DISA and was named this week as vice president for cyber and information technology research at Virginia Tech’s Applied Research Corporation in Arlington, Va.

Rebecca Harris, DISA’s vice component acquisition executive, will fill Montemarano’s old slot until a permanent replacement is nominated, an agency spokeswoman said.
