Public v. private sector? Insourcing debate heats up

The Interior Department recently issued a request for quotation with a little noticed provision saying it reserves the right to hire the vendor's employees after six months.

And Interior reserves the right not let the contractor bring in new employees to replace them.

And Interior isn't alone. The Defense Department is aggressively looking to insource positions.

These examples are leading some in industry to ask what can be done to mitigate this growing competition for workers.
