DoD to rearrange $100 billion in budget

The Defense Department wants to rearrange $100 billion in its budget.

The agency is not going to ask for more funding in fiscal 2012.

Instead it’s doing what many Americans and non-DoD agencies have to do — tighten their belts and make hard choices about spending priorities.

Federal News Radio’s Jason Miller has details on DoD’s plan to move that money from administrative functions to the warfighter’s mission.
