What's the latest on phased retirement?
It's been nearly a year since Congress set up the program to allow employees to take phased retirement, working three or four days a week to help mentor their successors and get used to retirement. And although it's been fast-tracked, it still hasn't happened.

On the one-year anniversary of the Digital Government Strategy, OMB highlighted the progress being made to make agency information and systems device-agnostic. Federal CIO Steve VanRoekel says mobile is the new default platform.

VA chipping away at oldest disability claims in backlog
All veterans who have waited two years or more for a decision will have their cases decided by next month, the Department of Veterans Affairs told Congress. Half of the Veterans Benefits Administration's oldest cases already have been removed from the backlog, according to Allison Hickey, VA's undersecretary for benefits.
