If you’re being treated for a chronic disease, you don’t want to wait for your primary care and specialty doctors to discuss your health. E-consultations and electronic health records can help doctors coordinate and communicate more efficiently when it comes to chronic disease patients, a Kaiser Permanente report says. The report, which focused on kidney disease patients, found the technology allowed doctors to easily communicate with one another and sort though data and lab results more efficiently.
