The military's chief information officer, Teri Takai, said after the Army completes its migration to DISA's email-as-a-service, the Air Force will be next. She said the Navy also is in discussions to move to the cloud. DoD soon will release a new cloud computing strategy and standards guide for industry.

The administration released a set of high-level concepts from listening sessions conducted in 2011 and is asking for input from the agencies, contractors and the public. Interested parties can comment on 14 suggestions to improve how people with disabilities access government information.
Agency CIO Robert Osborn is improving the network and cybersecurity. He said the cloud of clouds approach gives the National Nuclear Security Administration the security and flexibility they need to meet their mission.

The White House announced the launch of Ethics.gov, an online portal housing ethics-related data, including White House visitor logs, election filings and lobbying disclosures. The creation of a single, centralized database for lobbying and ethics information was a 2008 campaign promise by then-candidate Obama and follows a string of data-storing sites, such as Data.gov and USASpending.gov.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development has announced the launch of a public database that includes information about households under some of HUD's housing programs.
