Harris data link recieves NSA approval

A secure data link – developed by Harris – has gotten a stamp of approval from the National Security Agency. Defense Systems reports that the encrypted radio is designed for communications in space-constrained military platforms. Harris’ Small Secure Data Link has received Type 1 certification from NSA. It can be used in unmanned airborne systems, vehicles and shelters, and is already being tailored for use in unmanned communications relay payloads.
