Smithsonian ARTLAB+ promotes digital art education

Ryan Hill, the director of digital learning programs at Hirshhorn Museum, discussed the ARTLAB+ program that combines arts education with technology.

The Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum is going digital in a project called ARTLAB+.

The goal is to enhance art education through the use of mobile and digital technologies.

Students can learn about museum exhibitions “in the context of contemporary ideas about technology and culture,” according to a museum release.
